Clare House is a quiet refuge on our property, convenient to the chapel and monastery.
A quiet refuge in the heart of the Nescopeck Mountains, Clare House is conveniently a few miles off Interstate 80 (exit 256) and Interstate 81 (exit 145) on Pennsylvania State Route 93. We welcome you to take time away and be quiet with God, renewing your life and spirit amidst the God-given beauty of our grounds.
Quiet and welcoming, Clare House comfortably sleeps six people. Complete with kitchen, dining room, living room with DVD, VCR, and library of videos and Spirituality books. A short walk from our chapel, the house also provides a ready space to relax and listen attentively to the Lord speak in your heart.
Guests may prepare their own meals in the kitchen or dine at area restaurants including Thomas’ Restaurant, Jackie’s, the Frogtowne Grille, China Top, and Fratelli’s Italian Restaurant with take out. Gould’s Supermarket is nearby for household and culinary needs.
Confession with a friar priest is available. All are welcome at our Divine Liturgy (Mass) or at Divine Office (Morning and Evening Prayer).
Thirty acres of forest land with a pond and a branch of the Nescopeck River, gaggles of geese, flocks of ducks, and a myriad of other gentle woodland creatures are incentives to leisurely wander to experience firsthand the finger of God at work in nature.
Time seems to stand still at Clare House. And it becomes Sacred Time in a Sacred Space where you can relax, renew, and return to the Heart of the Father and there discover the mystery and beauty that is God’s indwelling Presence in you.
Welcome to Clare House! Welcome to a sacred time in a sacred space.
